  • My main goal as a teacher is to be a continuous ripple of joy and support for my students. My home studio overlooks the beautiful Puget Sound where I teach piano (most styles) and voice (most styles – although I am not a jazz specialist). I try to find pieces that are within my students’ interests and capabilities in order to ignite their love of music. In the time allotted I teach as holistically as possible, including historical tidbits, anatomy, composition, ear-training, theory, scales as well as their own literature. Naturally students are invited perform with my studio at area venues and recitals. One of the gifts I’ve been given while teaching public school music is learning how to engage students with thousands of different learning styles, interests and aptitudes while teaching musical pieces, theory and history. Because of this desire to reach students simultaneously at different levels, I’ve patented a system to make music reading and composition a hands-on, self-teaching system for all levels of students and professional musicians.

  • Bio:

I've been a teacher music from 1976, both in the U.S. and Italy, primarily as a school music teacher and choir director. Three years ago I walked away from the chaotic school systems and started my own studio in my home. I teach both piano and voice. I also participate in the Bremerton Symphonic Chorale as well as a number of other gigs.
