"I loved the course so much. I have been teaching singing for 25 years and have had to work out so many things on my own. I wish I had completed the course earlier! Looking forward to completing Level II in the near future."

Emma Gilmartin, Jazz Singer, Voice Teacher, Melbourne, Australia

Alvina Hendradi, Vocal Teacher and Music Therapist for Seniors with Dementia
"Vocal health and problems from a medical point of view, how top singing teachers work, how to work with compassion, educating my ear. I'm so incredibly thankful to have found Somatic Voicework™ in the beginning of my career as a voice teacher."

Alvina Hendradi, Level I-II-III, Vocal Teacher and Music Therapist for Seniors with Dementia, Miss, Jakarta – Indonesia

Tinson Lam, K-8 Music Teacher
"Somatic Voicework™ is an incredible method of vocal training that can be immediately implemented. I feel more equipped to teach my students about their voices and how to sing in a healthy way!"

Tinson Lam, Level , II, K-8 Music Teacher, Lowell MA USA

Anne Basinski, Professor (Director, UM Opera Theater), The School of Music, College of the Arts & Media, University of Montana
"Revelatory!! Kind, immediately sensible and USEFUL help for all kinds of singers and voices: I love that this is the furthest possible thing from one-method-fits-all training. Faculty are astonishing: so immaculately skilled - practical, understandable help. THANK YOU!"

Anne Basinski, Professor (Director, UM Opera Theater), The School of Music, College of the Arts & Media, University of Montana

Maurice Myers, BM and MM in Jazz Studies at North Carolina Central University Voice Faculty
"It was an amazing experience. The lightbulb turned on when I heard & felt the freedom in my own voice."

Maurice Myers, BM and MM in Jazz Studies, North Carolina Central University Voice Faculty

Rosemary Lindsay, Voice Teacher, Singer, Choral Advocate, and Conductor
"Somatic Voicework™ has transformed my work as a teacher and singer. I am confidently eliciting changes in the voices of my students, and it is both humbling and exciting. The focus on listening and seeing what shows up first before making any changes has been a welcome transformation in my approach."

Rosemary Lindsay, Levels I, II, III, Voice Teacher, Singer, Choral Advocate, and Conductor, Qualicum Beach, BC, Canada

Ashley Morton, Actor and Voice Teacher
"Somatic Voicework™ is as comprehensive as it gets when talking about the full vocal instrument – anatomical components, stylistic parameters across genres, medical information, and (most importantly) the living, breathing, feeling human being in front of you."

Ashley Morton, Levels I-III, Actor and Voice Teacher, New York NY

Chris Johnston, Voice and Music Teacher
"One of the biggest takeaways for me is learning how to listen functionally to singers, not just from a musical perspective, but also in terms of vocal health. It’s really helped me recognize when a singer’s voice might be working too hard or not enough, especially in CCM styles. I also gained a better understanding of how different vocal styles affect production and why it’s so important to have a clear purpose behind every vocal exercise."

Chris Johnston, Somatic Voicework™ Levels I-III, Voice & Music Teacher, Glasgow/Scotland/UK

Djuana Ross, Private Voice Instructor
"Everything was great, but the explanation of how to apply exercises and what to look for as a teacher was extremely valuable. Doing the breakouts and watching the demonstrations of the Solution Sequence has been so helpful already! The Solution Sequence! - Being mindful of the intellectual capabilities of students - The connection of body awareness to the function of the voice - being aware of the different parameters of the different styles of CCM."

Djuana Ross, Level II, Private Voice Instructor, Columbus, Ohio, USA

Kate McGarry, Grammy-nominated Jazz Artist and Voice Teacher
"As I continue down the road of learning about vocal function and about this elegant, powerful, practical and respectful method called Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method, I am in awe at the wisdom of its insistence that we put function first and steer clear of rote usage of this exercise or that, this scale, this set of syllables or that. Our UNDERSTANDING and OUR EARS and HEARTS are what must be brought to their fullest and most nuanced capacity. It insists that we develop ourselves and be committed to our own voices! It takes much longer but the result is SOOOOO much better."

Kate McGarry, Grammy-nominated Jazz Artist, Voice Teacher

Wesley Morgan, DMA, Assistant Professor of Music at Florida Southern College
"I came to the Institute to pick up a few “tricks” for teaching belting. I was skeptical (even resistant) during the first few days but continued to be amazed by the significant transformation in each participant Jeanie taught - without saying that much! I was almost angry with how dramatically more effective my teaching became when I shut up and trusted the parameters of Jeanie’s exercises. My students were eventually making free sounds in multiple genres–many of which I would never have taught them–or even imagined–if left to my own narrow, biased aesthetic preferences and "traditional classical approach." With style-agnostic functional skills being the focus of the lessons, my students were suddenly free to make the sounds *they* imagined."

Wesley Morgan, DMA, Assistant Professor of Music, Florida Southern College

Laurie Berkner, Children’s Recording Artist and Author of “We are the Dinosaurs”
"I was blown away by how much I learned. Even after studying with Jeanie for more than 20 years, getting an intimate look at the other side of the process and learning to better understand vocal function and what she is listening for/working on when I’m in my lessons, was more helpful for me as a singer than most other things I’ve ever experienced."

Laurie Berkner, Children’s Recording Artist, Author of “We are the Dinosaurs”

Lauren Kinhan, Member of New York Voices Composer, Arranger, and Producer
"I have a new focus for my private voice students that has a method and rhythm to the process. There's a new sense of confidence in how to address both the well-functioning voice and the ones that need to grow in some way or another, and I am grateful for the newfound community to which I belong. You should feel pleased at how far-reaching and respected Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method is and how many people it has touched, influenced, and inspired. Many dedicated singing teachers out there are practicing the work, not just with their students, but with their own instruments. Thank you one and all. And big thanks to Jeanie LoVetri for getting the party started!!!"

Lauren Kinhan, Levels I, II, III, Member of New York Voices, Composer, Arranger, Producer, Adjunct Faculty, New York University – Steinhardt, Adjunct Faculty, Masters in Jazz, Queens College – Aaron Copland School of Music, New York, NY, USA

Anissa Hartline Orsino, Singer and Private Teacher
"Somatic Voicework™ is an invaluable resource for classically trained singers and teachers who want to bring their craft into the 21st century. I’ve observed a combination of solid pedagogy, regard for and understanding of the performance demands of countless styles of music, and love and respect for singers of all styles and ability-levels. These are qualities I strive to exhibit in my own singing and teaching. I’m so grateful that I found Somatic Voicework™. It’s truly been a game-changer for me."

Anissa Hartline Orsino, Level III, Singer/Private Teacher, Las Vegas, NV, USA

Ian Williams, Owner of the Ian Michael Voice Studio
"Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! I'm a semifinalist this year in the Lotte Lenya Competition, which requires me to sing in the styles of Opera, Legit and Contemporary Musical Theatre, as well as the music of Kurt Weill, all within 15 minutes. This session helped reaffirm the different sounds I can make to make sure each song is stylistically appropriate."

Ian Williams, Level I reviewer, Completed Level’s II and III in 2023,
Bass-Baritone and owner of the Ian Michael Voice Studio, South Bend, IN, USA

Laura Thomas, SLP-Voice Specialist and Singing Teacher
"The warmth and compassion from all of the course facilitators was inspiring. The chance to work experientially and watch others explore and play with their voice has been invaluable. I’m already feeling freer in my own voice and encouraged to continue working vocally in this way to provide the best support for my clients as I can moving forwards."

Laura Thomas, SLP-Voice Specialist, Singing Teacher, London, UK
