Tom Barton is a singing teacher and singer in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Founder of The Voice Dojo, Tom is devoted to empowering singers on their paths toward mastery with functional vocal training for embodied vocal expression and authenticity.

Tom is Faculty of Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method, a holistic singing training method integrating voice science, the body and the mind for deep vocal artistry. Tom shares his expertise as a lecturer at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance, Monash University. Tom’s teaching philosophy is inspired by his practice of Aikido, where he holds the rank of nidan – second-degree black belt.

As a vocal artist and Victorian College of the Arts alumnus, Tom’s music has been celebrated by All About Jazz as “poetry in motion with beautifully clear-headed vocals.” His work uniquely blends acoustic and electronic elements, improvisation and captivating vocals to deliver a transformative musical experience.
