
Upcoming in April are domestic trips. She is holding a free demonstration of Somatic Voicework™ at Berklee College of Music, doing a workshop and master class for the Rhode Island Chapter of NATS at Wheaton College and working with teachers of Somatic Voicework™ at Roger Williams College in Providence. At the end of the month, Jeanie goes to the Washington/Baltimore area to repeat the same plan. The free demonstrations are open to the public.
Jeanie is excited to be preparing for her new LoVetri Institute for Somatic Voicework™ at Baldwin Wallace University in July.Full-page ads are running in Classical Singer magazine and other promotion is going out to jazz and educational journals announcing this 21st Century training for CCM styles. The Institute offers lectures designed for singing instructors by nationally recognized experts in Speech Language Pathology and Laryngology. It will also have as a special guest Tom Murray, Music Director of numerous Broadway shows and the upcoming
Anastasia, (opening in April), as well as award-winning jazz vocalist, Kate McGarry, who will be doing a master class with participants. Important bodywork instruction will be presented by Suzan Postel, a Pilates instructor, dancer, musician/composer and vocalist. The Institute will be a gathering of teachers of singing, choral conductors, music educators, speech language pathologists who work with singers, jazz vocalists and teachers, composers, and singers. There will be returning graduates of the Somatic Voicework™ training programs from across the country and the globe, and folks who will be attending for the first time.
