Jessie Oliver (she/they) is a singer and voice teacher originally from Chicago, IL. She holds a Masters in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. Her extensive continuing education includes Estill Certification, LoVetri Somatic VoiceworkCertification, Linklater training and multi-year participation, both as a teacher and singer, in her mentor Steve Smithâs Naked Voice Institute.
Jessie is passionate for Vocal Rehabilitation and Holistic Teaching. The voice is an intrinsic part of who you are. The goal is to foster that relationship between the self, body, and voice. They have extensive training in both the classical and commercial music fields.
She has worked with Speech Pathologists at Northwestern University to develop warm-ups and practices for those with Muscle Tension Dysphonia. In particular, they have crafted wellness practices for the singing actor in recovery from vocal disorders and injury.
Jessie also works with Trans and Non-Binary singers and actors on vocal work through transitions. They are committed to helping all singers discover their voices both for singing and speech.
