My greatest joy in teaching voice is to share in the discovery process with my students, especially that “AhHa” moment where everything comes together and makes sense. I strive to create a studio environment where students feel comfortable and nurtured while being challenged and encouraged in their vocal journey.

I have been singing from as early an age as I can remember. My love of singing and teaching others to sing is what motivated my educational aspirations and my career. I received my Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Music Education and my Master's and Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. I have had the privilege of studying with two great operatic singers, Shirley Verrett and George Shirley, whose instruction, stories and lives have inspired my own teaching. I have taught at the high school, collegiate and professional level and enjoying working with singers beginner through advanced. My own performance has taken me to Rome at the American Academy and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
