Vocal Function As The Answer To Vocal Expression and Excellence

Week I: Functional Training & Vocal Freedom
An exploration of the elements and foundation of functional training in establishing freedom and ease in singing any style. The session will begin with a traditional academic-style lecture, Jeanie LoVetri will then work with 2 singers in exploring elements of functional training using the principles of Somatic Voicework™. 
Week II: Mix Matters
An exploration of the elusive mix! What is it? Why does it matter? How do you cultivate it in your students and yourself? The session will begin with a traditional academic-style lecture, Jeanie LoVetri will then work with 2 singers in developing a mixier sound to address the technical and stylistic demands of their repertoire.  
Week III: Addressing Constriction
This session will begin with a traditional academic-style lecture exploring some of the central elements of constriction in the singing voice, this will be followed by a holistic approach to addressing constriction in singers. Jeanie LoVetri will then work with 2 singers dealing with severe constriction. 
Week IV: Olympic Singing, Olympic Artistry
What does it take to train Olympic singers and artists? How do you apply the principles of functional training when working with professional singers? The session will begin with a traditional academic-style lecture, followed by Jeanie LoVetri working with 2 professional artists in contrasting styles. 
Dates: Mondays in October; October 4, 11, 18, 25, 2021
Time: 6:00-8:00 PM EDT
Cost: $200 USD for those new to Somatic Voicework™ ($50 COVID-19 discount already applied); $150 USD for those who have completed at least Level I of their Somatic Voicework™ training (additional $50 COVID-19 discount already applied).
For those who cannot complete the webinar series in real time, all participants will have access to the video archive for 12 months from the final day of the course.
