Dr. Burdick teaches at her studio at Alma College and in her home in Alma. She has taught students ranging in age from 8 to 70. She teaches a range of styles from Classical to Gospel to Pop. Her students participate in biannual recitals and in the NATS Auditions. She has had several winners in Music Theatre, Youth, and Classical Divisions.Her students have been selected for professional music theatre workshops and awards.

Barbara Burdick was certified in Somatic Voicework Level III in 2009 and has attended Teachers' Meetings in Michigan and assisted Jeanie at the University of Michigan Level I in 2012. She teaches at Alma College and has a private studio in Alma, MI.She has a DMA from the University of Cincinnati in Performance, and a BM and MM from Indiana University. She has taught Applied Voice in several universities, as well as Pedagogy, Opera Workshop, and Music Theatre Performance. She has presented nationally on the belt voice and her article on the subject appeared in the Journal of Singing in 2005.
