Teaching is what I was called to do, and I always enjoy welcoming new students to my studio. Please contact me for a free consultation.
I am a professional voice teacher, teaching artist, musical director, and vocal habilitation coach. My private music studio is in Fairfax, Virginia. For 21 years, hundreds of students from throughout the DC Metro Area have trained with me. My students span the age spectrum: adults, college students, children & teens.
Although I have various music jobs, my expertise is in vocal performance—in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) repertoire (Broadway/musical theatre, jazz, pop and gospel) and in classical repertoire (art song, opera, and oratorio).
Each singing student is unique. By identifying their learning styles, I help singers improve while accessing their easiest and most natural vocal skills. When they are ready, I gradually teach them advanced, functional skills that clarify tone, extend range, increase endurance and flexibility. improve enunciation and balance beauty with strength. I also help each student set and reach short-term, intermediate and long-term goals with their singing--for an audition for a show or a conservatory program, a professional or amateur performance, a competition or ongoing vocal development.
