Sarah Dunn, soprano, is Level III Certified in Somatic Voicework(tm) The Lovetri Method and holds Vocal Pedagogy and Music Pedagogy certifications from the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary. She studied at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, graduating with honors with a B. A. double degree in Theatre and Music as well as receiving a Vocal Performance certificate. She went on to Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA, where she completed her M.M. in Vocal Performance. A Nebraska born singer and actress now based in Rhode Island, Sarah is the soprano soloist at the First Baptist Church in America in Providence, RI and a cantor at St. Mary's Church in Newport, RI. She teaches voice at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School in East Providence and at New England Music Studio in Pawtucket. Sarah recently joined the voice faculty at Salve Regina University in Newport. She performs in New York City, Boston and throughout New England in concerts and regional theatre productions as well as with a local musical theatre improv group in Providence, RI. She works with students of all ages to help them master the craft of singing in conjunction with their personal goals. Her areas of expertise include classical singing, musical theatre, ccm (contemporary commercial music), and audition prep/coaching. “My goal is to bring a life-long appreciation and understanding of music to my students, by enabling them to fully realize their potential through the art of singing.” --Sarah Dunn
